At Crystal Dental Clinic, we perform root canal treatment routinely to save our patient’s teeth. Root canal treatment is needed when a tooth’s nerve supply (called the pulp) is infected through decay or injury. The aim of root canal treatment is to remove infection from the root canals, the root canals are then cleaned and filled to prevent further infection.

READ OUR REVIEWSNo. We use local anaesthetic to achieve numbness prior to the procedure. We are committed to delivering treatments in a pain-free environment whenever possible. You should feel no different to having an ordinary filling done, it just takes longer to clean your root canals thoroughly. There may be some tenderness after treatment due to the pre-existing infection, but this normally subsides over a couple of days.
We take a conservative approach when caring for our patients. We always advise you try to keep your tooth for as long as possible. However, if you decide not to have root canal treatment, the alternative is to have the tooth removed. Once the pulp is infected, it can’t heal, and it is not recommended to leave an infected tooth in the mouth.
We understand how stressful it is when you have a broken tooth. Broken tooth can due to decay developed inside the tooth or trauma.
A crown/Onlay(partial crown) is an artificial restoration which fits over the whole tooth to protection the tooth from fracturing.
